Dr. Erica Seville
Executive Director @Resilient Organisations
Erica is the author of the book Resilient Organizations: How to survive, thrive and create opportunities through crisis and change. She is widely published in academic journals and has led numerous large collaborative research programs focused on resilience. Erica has led major research efforts tracking the impact of disasters on the business community and the process of recovery.
She is an Executive Director of Resilient Organisations (www.resorgs.org.nz), a Commissioner on the Board of New Zealand’s natural disaster insurer - The Earthquake Commission (www.eqc.govt.nz) and is Chair of Response and Recovery Aotearoa NZ (www.rranz.org.nz), the consortium tasked with building New Zealand’s response and recovery leadership capability.
Dr. Tracy Hatton
Managing Director @Resilient Organisations
Dr. Hatton is the joint Managing Director of Resilient Organisations (resorgs.org.nz), a research and consulting group specializing in risk and resilience based in Christchurch, New Zealand. Tracy carries out a broad range of risk and resilience projects including crisis preparedness plans and exercises, business continuity programme design, emergency management training and development, capability assessments, and crisis event reviews along with research into a broad range of risk and resilience issues.
She has published a range of articles on resilience topics both in academic publications and as short user guides, as well as co-creating the content for Atlas: Ready for Business; a free disaster resilience app for small and medium enterprises internationally. Tracy has also taught Organisational Resilience at the University of Canterbury Executive Development Programme and is a facilitator in the Response and Recovery Leadership Development Programme (RRANZ).
